Lead Preditor - STARZ
The STARZ Creative team is a creative and production resource for STARZ properties and divisions. We work closely with our partners to conceptualize and develop brand and series marketing materials that meet business goals and push creative boundaries.
The Lead Preditor produces and edits breakthrough, highly impactful creative that consistently impresses internal partners. They are a leader who sets the creative bar for the Creative Services department. They are exceedingly detail oriented, boundlessly creative, and an expert-level producer and editor. They lead by example and creatively motivate their peers through their high artistic standards. Having a peerless work ethic and desire to actively mentor Preditors and Senior Preditors is essential.
This role will specialize in Brand Marketing and Originals Marketing promotions, creating top-tier multi-title promos and reels for Brand, and trailers, teasers, and thematics for Originals, as just a few examples, while also taking on additional work for Digital Marketing, Direct Response, and other areas of the business as internal needs should require.
Responsibilities
Produce and edit breakthrough, highly impactful creative that executes on all strategic direction, consistently impresses internal partners, and is referenced for future assignments
Lead the creative development of marketing campaigns, through concepting and pitching, establishment of tone and structure, and execution and implementation across multiple assets
Actively seek out innovative new approaches to video promotion
Infuse brand guidelines into all work and champion the same with the rest of the team
Reenforce best practices and workflow processes for the team
Engage in team meetings and brainstorming sessions as a leading contributor
Mentor Preditors and Senior Preditors in the creative development of compelling promotional materials
Reliably speak on behalf of the Creative Services Video team in cross-department meetings
Demonstrate a proficient ability to creatively incorporate sound design elements within Premiere
Handle a wide variety of rush requests while maintaining a high level of quality
Apply adept critical thinking skills to solve a wide array of creative challenges as they arise
Dependably contribute on occasional shoots, either as an on-set producer (i.e. directing the shoot or conducting talent interviews) or as an on-location editor (i.e. editing event pieces and rush deliverables)
Lead all assigned shoot planning with an extreme attention to detail
Troubleshoot as required the workstation, applications, and performance of connected services to determine whether escalation is required
Work with Campaign Management to monitor production schedules to deliver initial cuts ahead of due dates, in order to allow adequate time for revisions prior to deadlines
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail for all work
Qualifications & Skills
Expert-level knowledge of Premiere and ability to use it for creative problem solving
Minimum 7 contiguous years of contemporary employment in broadcast or OTT as a promotional video editor and producer
Expert level producing and creative editing skills
Proven national level advertising and programming editorial as seen in professionally produced reel
High level of knowledge producing marketing materials for the digital space
Superior time management skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Compensation
$120,000-$140,000
