GFX Producer - Hammer Creative
The Graphics Producer will play an integral role in building a robust art department, elevating its capabilities, establishing new processes and ensuring a solid foundation for future growth. Initially this role will primarily act as the department producer with heavy involvement in the day-to-day project management to ensure the timely production of high-quality graphics. Over time, the role will evolve into a department leader, overseeing the scheduling and output of the department as a whole and stepping away from the day-to-day project management, with an additional focus on developing and owning a strong rolodex of vetted freelance talent of varying expertises, from design/animation to branding (key art, logos, visual identity).
This is a hybrid work-from-home/onsite position, with the default being work-from-home, but with onsite work on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
Drive the end-to-end graphics production process, from concept to delivery.
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met and creative teams
Work closely with the post-production/delivery team to ensure successful packaging up and delivery of graphics and animation assets.
Review all work is of the highest quality and consistently meets our internal high standards prior to final delivery.
Maintain and foster relationships with third-party motion graphics and animation vendors and freelance artists.
Proactively identify roadblocks in the production process and implement solutions to ensure a successful delivery.
Collaborate with Creative Directors to strategically build out the art department.
Identify process efficiencies, coverage needs, and ways to improve creative development.
Establish best practices for art and design that elevate the work and attract top talent.
Collaborate with the production team to manage budgets, schedules, and internal bandwidth.
Ensure a smooth and thorough onboarding process for both freelancers and staff members.
When needed, provide guidance and feedback to support the visual direction of the projects.
Assist and advise on the early development of an internal Unreal Engine pipeline that bridges the Art and Capture departments.
Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies.
Skills and Experience:
7-10 years of industry experience across multiple design channels, including motion graphics, 3D, key art production, visual identity design, and social.
A detailed understanding of the production management pipeline for each; including but not limited to 2D, 3D, cel, stop motion, live-action, photography, illustration, print, and AI-assisted art.
Strong understanding and knowledge of design principles, typography, brand identity, and visual communication.
Engaged and connected within design, advertising, and entertainment communities.
Proficient knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Cursory knowledge of Unreal Engine
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Highly motivated and passionate for all things art, design, and video game culture.
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $120,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
